Nasty Druid

Remin died, or at last vanished while sealing the rift in the fabric of reality.

Episode was around Jan/Feb, 2006 ??, and it seems I don't have a ton of notes

Basically we were heading into the The Stewardship of the Basin in order to see if we could help minimize the war.

We were still fairly close to the border between Grendalli and The Stewardship of the Basin

And on the way we passed through a large field on the edge of a Forest.

On the way we saw stretches of the forest being devastated/withered right before our eyes, and then came across a battle where most were dead or dying in the field already, some chasing on person holding on to something which we discover was a plate like object. The plate had a yin/yang like symbol on it...

We determined that the person was a Druid, and at one point he broke the plate and a vortex appeared.

Through that Vortex tentacles began waving..

Remin then moved close to the vortex and began a whole range of strange magics that sealed the portal/vortex with such a concussion that a number of the party were blown about some knocked unconscious...

After recovering from the blast it seems that Remin was nowhere to be found, and is presumed to have been sucked into the portal..

Post Episode Notes:

Nasar doesn't believe any of us kept the plate, so it's possible that the pieces are still lying there...

But Remin was likely the last one to handle it, and he was apparently sucked through the vortex/portal at it's closing...

It appears that the plate was one of the seals that keep an elder god imprisoned... and that the mad druid was one of his followers... See Troubled_Fey
