Tarikan Principality
Leader - Duke Thamimo: male half-elf Fighter
The terrain of Tarik is mostly grassland with occasional rolling hills and small forests. The government of Tarik has changed hands recently after a tragedy that left the previous Duke and his immediate family unresurrectable. Rule of this traditionally feudal principality has fallen to his nephew, Thamimo. He had been trained to the life of a soldier and is struggling to fulfill his new role. There are rumours of attempted coups, but none have been substantiated. It is known that he personally slew a would-be assassin the evening before his coronation. The primary industries are farming the lush prairies, raising cattle on land that is difficult to irrigate or manage, and trading in elven goods. The area is mostly humans, with an unusually large number of half-elves and halflings. The Tarikans are the primary contacts that the Singing Lands have outside of their lands, and their long and fruitful relationship has resulted in the large number of half-elves in Tarik. They have parlayed their status as envoys to the elf lands into positive and beneficial relations with their neighbours. The Tarikan military is known for having the best heavy cavalry in all of Asgrim. A charge by these metal-clad masters of the lance can cause even Ogres to flee in terror.
