Sentinel

A +1 Holy greatsword of cold iron, Sentinel can speak and read Common, Elven, Celestial and Sylvan. It can also communicate telepathically. It has been in Trona's family for many generations and is far smarter and wiser than Trona (who is more diplomatic and generally charismatic). Skilled at spotting and listening, Sentinel also has darkvision to 120 feet and can detect evil at will. Sentinel is devoted to Ehlonna, as her wielder is. So far the only disputes between Sentinel and Trona was when Trona thought about adding a magical gem to the sword's hilt that would have altered the sword's abilities (Sentinel thought this was too risky, kind of like experimental brain surgery) and when Trona, but not Sentinel, was charmed by a worm-infested nymph to attack her friends. This may change as the sword gains in intelligence and ego, but truth be told, both Trona and Sentinel are devoted to Ehlonna and are of the same alignment, so disputes are likely to be more along the lines of who is in charge and who is the sidekick, rather than substantive ones. Sentinel also has minor healing powers and can shine like a torch at will.
