Bortaa

Bortaa was raised on the streets of Dallford. He went with his talent and became a successful thief and part-time con man. He was also known as a bit of a lady’s man and was rather proud of his knee length red braid. He was very gregarious and generally fun to have at a party. He had learned to be a solo operator during years on the street and didn’t work well with others. He finally got over this reluctance to pull off a really big heist but was betrayed by his partners and left in the lurch. He was sentenced to 2½ years conscript labour for his crime. He was generally a very bad conscript and was considered likely to receive extra time as a penalty. His first couple patrol teams couldn’t handle him so he eventually bounced to the PC’s. They got along great with him off duty, but he was a pain to work with on patrol. He took a liking to the elven druid and was trying to learn how to work with the team when the bugbear-hobgoblin-goblin ambush occurred. He was horribly wounded and very nearly died. He was also scalped by the bugbear and thus has his 3½-foot braid in a bag under his bed. He has been changed by the experience. He requested a change of duties to cleaning and kitchen staff and has since been a fine, occasionally model conscript. His recent associations with the party members have been brief and superficial. They remind him of the experience and he is still rather frightened by it. He has converted to worshipping Fharlangh.

A NPC scout that we met at The Keep. He got the nickname Scalpee due to having almost been killed by a bugbear who took off most of his scalp during the battle.
