Cleansed Lands The Cleansed Lands are bordered by the Mitkar River on one side and the low hills before the Vigdisian Great Plains on the other. The Cleansed Land’s government is still a religious oligarchy run according to a strict interpretation of the precepts of St. Cuthbert. Their economy is built on farming on the floodplains and shepherding on the low hills. The people of Fahar find comfort in the predictable, safe life they lead and most are happy. Fahar is on excellent terms with the Royal house of Asgrim and they use this relationship as a club to extend their oppression of religions they disapprove of as far as they can. Most of the other noble houses resent their relations with the Asgrim and what they see as intrusions into their internal religious affairs, especially those with chaotic or evil leanings.
