Deep Woods Fort – Session 1 (300XP each): The PCs had a relatively uneventful journey until they were about a day away from the fort. They were ambushed by a small army of wood elves who confiscated the caravan and demanded a toll from the PCs. The PCs complied and set up a time and place to try to negotiate a peace between the wood elves and the fort.

Deep Woods Fort – Session 2 (400XP each): After getting background info at the fort the PCs recruited a new fighter and went to the designated meeting spot. Nasar encountered a lady he presumed was a nymph and made overtures of friendship. They met the same elf that they had negotiated with previously when the fighter suddenly attacked him. Combat ensued and shouts of “fake ears” quelled the doubts of the reluctant. After a harrowing fight the PCs managed to take a captive. Just when they were about to leave they discovered that their captive had been hurt while in their custody by what they presumed was someone invisible. They quickly returned to the fort.

Deep Woods Fort – Session 3 (300XP each): They questioned their obviously brain-damaged prisoner and managed to get some rough info out of him in exchange for a promise to keep him alive. They then turned him over to the questioner and checked on related info (maps, more detailed background, etc). They got the info from the questioner (not much more than they got) and planned a trip to the negotiation clearing. They brought a crude map with them. Along the way a dire boar unexpectedly attacked them and turned Nasar’s horse into pâté. They killed the boar and made it to the clearing where they met Nasar’s supposed Nymph again. She agreed to help them find the outlaw camp if they cleaned up the clearing they had fought in earlier. She helped them get around the forest incredibly quickly and they cleaned the clearing up. She then had a forest spirit lead them to “the outlaw’s water”.

Deep Woods Fort – Session 4 (400XP each): The scouted around where they had arrived and heard sounds across the stream. They investigated and ended up in a fight with a group of undead. The fight didn’t go well but no one died. They cleaned wounds and prepared to investigate the other side.

Deep Woods Fort – Session 5 (550XP each): Nasar and Tarvin were recon’ing the original side of the stream, following a path when Nasar was shot with two arrows. They ran away and the group hid across the stream waiting for pursuit. They weren’t disappointed and a brutal fight broke out. Nasar was badly wounded and his armour damaged by a large dog. One of their enemies wielded two battleaxes, one of which glowed faintly. After mostly defeating them and silencing calls for reinforcements the PCs snatched the glowing battleaxe and ran away. They were pursued, but they managed to shake them. Tarvin warned the party to go around one area of forest in response to a voice in his head. The PCs set up camp a couple hours away from the outlaw camp on top of a hill.

Deep Woods Fort – Session 6 (350XP each): Millain sent her owl to the fort carrying instructions using the animal messenger spell. They would meet a military force from the fort at the negotiation clearing in 3 days and then lead them to the outlaws. While exploring and fortifying their hilltop Janos was almost killed by an assassin vine.

Deep Woods Fort – Session 7 (600XP each): The PCs finished forifying their hilltop and set out to recon the outlaws again. On their way Tarvin heard a voice in his head again that helped them avoid a small group of elves. They tracked their way back to the outlaw camp and, after some misadventures in trees and overhearing a comment about elves working with the outlaws, decided to return to their hilltop base. When they were just about there a group of elves triggered the traps on one side of the hilltop and Janos bombarded them with arrows while Jane armoured up. The Elves took off and ran into the returning recon team. A fluke shot from Janos finished off one of the elves and the PCs killed or captured the rest.
