A human monk who had sworn a vow of poverty, Ray literally glowed with a light that obviously marked him a a servant of divine goodness.  He was strict in his adherence to Pelor, and always on the lookout for evil, either to fight or to sermonize against (indeed, he often combined the two practices).  He at first thought that Pelor was the creator of the universe, but recently learned that there were other, older gods, that preceded Pelor.
