			The bridge is truly massive. It's construction required significant magic and it is imbued with strong magics to both protect it from sabotage and to ease the huge amount of travel that crosses it every day. It will comfortably pass 6 wagons across and is almost a kilometer long.

			There are assorted riverfront buildings all along the river on both banks. The river has cut cliffs on both sides for several miles in each direction so most access is through winding stairs or wooden lifts. The cliffs average 40 feet tall but range from 30 feet at the commercial docks to 65 feet near the bridge. The river is huge, almost a kilometer across at its narrowest point. It has occasional shifting sandbars and a strong but sedate current.

			Caltha'na'b has seen an explosion of growth due to its status as the sole source of Fernshaw goods. There are new buildings being built at a rate of about 2 a week. The population has quadrupled in the past year and managing this growth has become a major problem. The generously sized outer wall has been insufficient to contain the growth and there is already discussion of a third wall. There is constant pressure to convert the farmland or forest into housing land but Naomi has thus far forbidden any erosion of the farming base or the forest.

The addition of the second wall and the explosion of building has depleted the [[Old Fort]] site of materials and blanketted it in houses, taverns, and workshops.<br>
